The perils of not prepping thoroughly enough were on full display when I went to see this kitchen. The green paint had been applied on to the original waxed pine kitchen with minimal prep. To ensure a good foundation for my efforts I basically needed to remove all the paint and start again.
I also designed and had made the new kitchen island/breakfast bar, removed the dated lattice work, and created a stylish display nook in place of the plate rack.
